Design authority for autonomous and remotely operated platforms, owning the architecture end to end. Inside IR35, on site in Hampshire.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the technical architecture for autonomous and remotely operated platforms.
  • Translate operational requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Lead technical decision making, system integration and product delivery.
  • Define interfaces, standards and governance across software, hardware and communications.
  • Drive verification, testing and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide technical leadership to internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering complex autonomous, robotics, defence, transport or industrial control systems.
  • Strong background in systems architecture, integration and technical leadership.
  • Knowledge of software, networking, communications and safety critical environments.
  • Ability to turn high level requirements into practical engineering solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Eligible to work on security sensitive UK programmes.

Desirable

  • Autonomous vehicles, robotics or remote operations experience.
  • Knowledge of simulation, test automation and systems engineering methodologies.
  • Familiarity with modern software development, cyber security and assurance practices.
  • Experience leading technical teams or acting as a design authority.

On site in Hampshire. Determined inside IR35.
